Soon, all of our favorite fall delights will be upon us. From fall television sweeps to the worship of pumpkin and apples, our beautiful fall foliage and football weekends. And of course, nothing is comfier than tossing aside the sundress for autumn’s jeans, boots and a sweater.
Here are some of the best ways to celebrate fall in Hershey-Harrisburg:
- Dine locally – Harrisburg’s Restaurant Week runs Sept. 9-13 and 16-20. Hershey’s Restaurant Week begins at the end of the month, Sept. 29 through Oct. 5.
- Lunch ‘n Learn – Spend a day at Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts and save on IMAX features and KidsPlace every day through September. $12 gets you 2 IMAX tickets, plus 2 popcorns.
- Fall Foliage Cruises aboard the Pride of the Susquehanna – Running through October, enjoy an autumn-inspired dinner on The Pride, while cruising the Susquehanna for views of changing leaves. Enjoy a full dinner prepared by Premier Catering (including carrot cake for dessert!) – plus live music. Cruises run from 6-8 p.m.
- Fall Pumpkin Treatments at The Spa at The Hotel Hershey – Available only in October and November, upgrade your already upscale spa experience with the seasonal aromas and ingredients found in The Spa’s fall-themed treatments like the Pumpkin Souffle Wrap or The Great Pumpkin Facial
- All Aboard for Fall Foliage – Explore Pennsylvania’s countryside with any of these train tours and you’ll take in more than just a ride.
- Road Trip It – You also can check out any of Pennsylvania’s “scenic byways”on VisitPA.com for ideas.
- Sip & Savor – Take a lazy fall day and tour the Hershey Harrisburg Wine Country trail, featuring more than a dozen Pennsylvania wineries. Stay tuned for the Cornucopia Wine Quest in late Oct./early Nov. Or, beer drinkers can stay tuned for the new Hershey Harrisburg Craft Beer Country.
