Celebrate Easter in Hershey-Harrisburg

The holidays (especially spring ones) are a great time to visit family, but who wants to waste a long day in the kitchen? This Easter Sunday, take your family out for a delicious meal — prepared by any of the talented staff at these fine Bureau partners. Easter Brunch

Sara’s pick: Turn tradition on its head and take your Easter celebration to Devon Seafood Grill. Devon’s regular Sunday brunch is always a hit – with a variety of options, sweet and savory. My favorite part? $4 Bloody Marys and $3 mimosas from 1-3 p.m.

One of the area’s newest renovations, the Clarion Hotel & Conference Center is offering a brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Easter Sunday. The extensive menu will feature a variety of salad and cold sides, an assortment of miniature quiches, a personalized omelet station, a stuffed French Toast station, Centerplate Carving Station, hot side and starches, plus a kid’s station loaded with children’s favorites — and of course, a variety of desserts — all for $28/person.

In downtown Harrisburg, Mangia Qui is known for its incredible brunch offerings — and Easter Sunday is no exception. Mangia Qui offers Mediterranean fare, utilizing as many local products as able. Try: Something from “The Benny Collection” — Your choice of a classic (Canadian Bacon), smoked salmon, surf & turf, crab, filet or garden all served with house-made hollandaise and potatoes. Ask for: daily mimosa specials featuring juices beyond the basic OJ.

The Dog and Pony Restaurant at the Sheraton Hershey Harrisburg also is featuring a grand Sunday brunch this weekend. For $30 per person, enjoy an omelet station, cold display, tossed salad bar, carving station, saute station, pasta station, kids buffet and dessert buffet.

There are multiple options for Easter dining at The Hershey Lodge. You can choose a brunch buffet at Lebbie Lebkicher’s or the Chocolate Ballroom between noon and 3 p.m. Or, enjoy the menu selections and specials from three of the signature restaurants, including The Forebay and the recently reopened Hershey Grill.

Final Cut Steakhouse at Hollywood Casino is planning a high-end Easter Market Brunch on Sunday for $42.99/person. It will feature Bourbon Brioche French Toast, steak and eggs, Tenderloin Benedict, Maine Lobster Ravioli, Cedar Plank Alaskan Halibut — and much more.

Many an Easter tradition has been set at Raspberries at the Hilton Harrisburg. Brunch will feature the usual waffle and omelet stations, eggs benedict, Chef’s carving station featuring leg of lamb and pit ham, cold displays and salads, plus a variety of entrees – and of course dessert.

The Holiday Inn Harrisburg East is yet another great stop for Easter brunch. Chef’s Center Court features pan-seared chicken breast with mango sauce, poached salmon with dill cream sauce, cheese tortellini with alfredo sauce and roasted lamb chops with mint sauce. In addition, they offer a carving station, breakfast bar, soup and salad bar, seafood bar, artisan bread and gourmet cheese display, plus gourmet pies and cakes for dessert.

Other great Easter brunch ideas for the family include the Radisson Hotel HarrisburgHoliday Inn Harrisburg/Hershey, Epic Buffet at Hollywood Casino, Park Inn Harrisburg West, The Central Ballroom and Colonial Golf Course.
