The PA Auto Show returns to the state capital this weekend. Motor Trend Auto Shows is the nation’s largest auto show production company and will fill the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center with hot rods and muscle cars, gears and gadgets, and the latest cars, trucks, crossovers, vans, hybrids and sport/utility vehicles, including Motor Trend’s Car, Truck and SUV “of the Year” winners. Runs Thursday through Sunday.
Harrisburg’s own indoor soccer team, the Harrisburg Heat take on the Chicago Mustangs this weekend. Games start at 7:05 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center.
More for motorheads: The Antique Automobile Club of America Museum kicks off its latest exhibit, “The Art of the Build: Rods & Kustoms” with a special tiki-themed reception on Friday night. The exhibit features hand-built and one-of-a-kind vehicles from the 50s through the present day along with memorabilia and artifacts. The exhibit runs through April 27.
You also can catch great hockey action this weekend. On Saturday, the Hershey Bears take on the Syracuse Crunch at the GIANT Center. Gametime is 7 p.m. Includes a towel giveaway for the first 8,000 fans.
On Sunday, the Bears square off against the W-B/Scranton Penguins. Game time is 5 p.m.
That’s not all — get into the action yourself on Sunday with Roundtop Mountain Resort’s annual Cardboard Derby. Teams build crazy cardboard creations and ride them down the tubing runs with adult and youth divisions. Check-in starts at 3 p.m. and judging at 4 p.m.
