Pennsylvania plays a major role in our country’s birth, so what better place to spend the 4th of July holiday weekend than right here.
The weekend calendar is loaded with free family friendly events, fireworks and food. Don’t have kids? Let the Hershey Harrisburg Wine Country guide you through Pennsylvania’s growing wine industry.
Another pivotal part of America’s history is the Civil War, and our own Gettysburg served as the turning point for that war, changing our country for all time. This year is the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg, and for the past two weeks, reenactments, parades, movies and other events have reminded residents and tourists of this crucial — and game-changing — event in our history.
This weekend, no matter what you choose, you’ll be able to celebrate our country — and Pennsylvania’s place — with fanfare and fun.
