Summer has arrived in Hershey Harrisburg

Celebrate the summer season this Friday at Roundtop Mountain Resorts. Not just a ski lodge, Roundtop offers a variety of fun in their “Mountain Adventures,” from zip lines and rope climbs to the OGO Ball.

This Friday, join Roundtop’s Summer Solstice Celebration to ring in the season. This family friendly event runs from 5-9 p.m. with special pricing on Mountain Adventures (OGO balls, Alpine Traverse, Cedar Maze & more) for just $20 (spectators are free).

They’ll have live music from Tuckahoe Ridge on the deck, plus food and drink specials. At dusk, snuggle up for fireworks on the mountain.

If a more romantic evening is in the cards for you, take your sweetheart out for a night of music and dancing at Jazz on the Veranda at The Hotel Hershey.

Every Friday through August, The Hotel Hershey’s outdoor porch bursts with locals and hotel guests enjoying live music from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.

A light food menu available between 6 and 9 p.m. However, my tip is to go early and grab dinner at newly renovated The Circular, Trevi 5 or even Harvest.

For something a beat different, consider the Wine & Cheese Cruise aboard The Pride of the Susquehanna this Sunday – the first of the season.

The Pride is celebrating its 25th anniversary season, so it’s a great time to take another – or your first – voyage aboard The Pride, Harrisburg’s Riverboat.

You’ll enjoy a flight of wines hand-chosen by your host, Chris The Wine Guy, along with cheese and fruit.

Take in the sight of the city from this unusual vantage point — a true gem of Harrisburg.
